Many coaches love the ideas we share.

Many also explain they don’t have enough depth of understanding to apply many of the ideas.

This is your chance to immerse yourself in the evidence-based ideas that we have coached with for over 20 years. Learn player development, and team development concepts, that focus on game based skill and decision-making that can be incorporated into each team’s overall philosophy.

Our Coaching Academy features immersive teaching from Basketball Immersion, and a number of guest coaches. These sessions will compliment, add to, and heighten your immersive learning experience.

Wondering what types of topics are taught? Here is a sample: Over 4 sessions with Chris Oliver, you will learn how to teach:

  • Basketball decision training shooting, and other skill based player development strategies.

  • Advantage and disadvantage drills to teach offensive and defensive decision-making.

  • Using small-sided games and a games approach to coaching basketball.

  • Using offense vs. defense, rather than on air drills.

  • Beyond blocked drills to ensure player satisfaction and enjoyment.

Our academy mission is simple:
Share the game and help you become a better coach.

We share the same tactics, techniques and philosophies we’ve presented to the youth, high school, college and NBA teams.

You learn the latest evidence-based ideas and applications behind BDT shooting, games approach to coaching, small-sided games and other skill acquisition tactics.

We challenge and stimulate your thinking so you leave with the tools to keep improving, but also the answers to your questions.

Basketball Immersion has stimulated coaching and player development around the world. The benefits of a Basketball Immersion one day coaching academy will positively impact your players and coaching for years to come.
